Tasks and duties include: Preparation of paint or varnish including selecting and preparing paints, colours, oils and tanning etc. Match and blend colours to match existing finish.&nbsp;</li><li>Application of paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayer and other tools and equipment.</li><li>Monitor and comply with dew point and moisture requirements prior and during coating application.&nbsp;</li><li>Identify, treat and remove corrosion affected material and apply corrosion protective coatings.</li><li>Safe use of scaffolding and ladders as well other elevated work platform.&nbsp;</li><li>Use drop sheets and other protective covering to protect non-painted surfaces.&nbsp;</li><li>Clean, maintain, and store all equipment and tools following completion of each order; maintain a clean, organized and safe work area at all times.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure a high level of workmanship and all work is completed to company standards and as per work order specifications;&nbsp;</li><li>Document jobs completed, material used and keep records for building coordinator.&nbsp;</li><li>Attend and participate in daily Pre-start and Toolbox meetings.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure protective and safety devices are being utitlised at all times and ensure others do the same.&nbsp;</li><li>Comply with all applicable workplace health and safety legislation, codes of practice.</li><li>Assist in the development of safe work method and standard operating procedures. &nbsp;</li></ul>Skills and Experience<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Relevant Certificate III or IV qualifications&nbsp;</li><li>Three year or more experience painting may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications;</li><li>Proven skills in interior surface preparation (sanding, patching, filling, priming)</li><li>Brush, roller, and spray-painting techniques</li><li>Colour matching and finish application</li><li>Knowledge of various paints, varnish, coatings&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent Attention to detail&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Driver’s licence&nbsp;</li></ul>
